What will I be doing?

  • If you have enthusiasm for music, dance or drama and enjoy working with children and young people, come join our Inclusive Theatre team that supports weekly sessions. This is working weekly in our afterschool clubs and getting to bring out the best in the young people.
  • If you would enjoy a day doing something completely different and being part of an event, we would really value your input to help us out Front of House. This includes selling tickets, seating the audience, giving our programmes, watching the show and then taking donations.
  • Jobs range from supporting a young person to access the sessions as best possible, looking after groups to supporting the production from backstage positions.

What impact will this have?

  • This is a great opportunity to learn some basic inclusive theatre techniques, meet other staff and volunteers and will help you feel confident about what is expected of you before you are put in a workshop situation.
  • You will improve the quality of engagement for young people who for many without a volunteer supporting them they would not be able to take part. This might be because of their disability or an/other additional need.
  • Our aim is to make young people less isolated, give them the opportunity to grow in confidence and make friends. We use performing arts as a tool to empower young people to try something new, to be themselves and to have the opportunity to feel good about who they are.
  • We work in an area which has a lot of hard to reach young people and so the work is extremely important. We are raising expectations and standards as to what these young people deserve.
  • Guaranteed to have a great time!
