Start date: Ongoing

What will I be doing?

  • The volunteer would offer counselling support sessions to young people in the Tower Hamlets community, experiencing mental health issues, that cannot afford support
  • They would have to commit to regularly attending each week for a period of time, so they build a relationship with whoever is on their caseload, and not leave the post until they have seen their caseload through
  • they would have the chance to benefit a community with concerning mental health statistics for young people, that live in poverty and traditionally do not have access to this kind of support, so they see an improvement in their mental health and wellbeing and feel supported
  • please let us know you credentials/ experience for this role when you get in touch

What impact will this have?

  • you will offer support previously unavailable, to young people that need it most
  • you will build a relationship, so young people feel they can rely on you and come to you when needed
  • you will help support young people in their time of need e.g. school exams, job hunting, unemployed etc

When are you needed?
