What will I be doing?

  • Helping us set up the venue and tidying up when the event is finished
  • Parking marshals: Although there will be no parking on the hospice grounds we still need assistants to help out with any deliveries that may need unloading.
  • Stall volunteers: To look after the stalls at the hospice on the day. This could be looking after a fundraising stall, selling raffle tickets, selling refreshments etc.
  • Supervising the children's play and activities.
  • Registering guests and meeting and greeting on the day.
  • Catering volunteers: To help cook and run our BBQ for the day. For this role we are looking for someone who has a catering background and a food hygiene certificate. Although this is preferred it is not essential.

What impact will this have?

  • The summer festival is our annual event where we open our hospice grounds to local people and their families.
  • It is a fun packed day that entertains all of the family and often we have around 1000 visitors on the day.
  • This year we are hosting a family friendly festival with music over two stages, great food and drink and a family zone full of kid's activities.
