What impact will this have?

  • This is Centrepoint’s 14th annual Sleep Out event in London. This year we will have two Sleep Out events in the same week and same location, on Tuesday 19 November and Thursday 21 November. Sleep Out in London will be attended by 1,500 supporters swapping their beds for a sleeping bag to give homeless young people a future. The main objectives of Sleep Out are:
  • • To raise over £1,000,000 to support all areas of Centrepoint’s work
  • • To strengthen existing relationships with Centrepoint’s corporate partners and donors and to build new relationships with potential corporate supporters and donors

Commitment

  • What will I be doing?
You will help with setting up before, support at the live event or help with packing down after. The event is built from scratch on an empty site so we need lots of help to make it a success. Volunteering at Sleep Out can be quite physical work and will involve standing for most of the time. If you have any access requirements or concerns, please do let us know.
  • What skills and attributes do I need to have?
    • Enthusiasm and passion for helping homeless young people
    • Positive attitude
    • Willing to get your hands dirty

Expenses

  • As the event is run by a charity to raise funds for Centrepoint's vital work we ask volunteers to cover their own costs where possible. If this is not possible please contact us to discuss it further.

Background checks

  • No background checks are required
