What will I be doing?

  • To assist and serve customers, providing a high standard of customer service
  • Assisting in keeping the shop clean and tidy
  • To be involved in cash handling and accurate operation of the till- To actively sell Hospice lottery tickets when on the till
  • To positively contribute to team working in the shop
  • To promote the public understanding of the work of Princess Alice Hospice and the importance of raising funds through the shop

What impact will this have?

  • Princess Alice Hospice provides free, high quality, specialist end of life care to thousands of people with life limiting illnesses in South West London, Middlesex and a large part of Surrey each year.
  • In order to provide the high level of care and support to our patients and their families we rely on our local community to generate approximately 78% of our income through fundraising, retail, donations and legacies.
  • Our compassionate support, comfort and advice help families, carers and friends during their loved one's illness and through the process of grief and loss.

  • Retail volunteers must be 16 years+ and have finished their GCSEs.
