Extensive training beforehand - in best practice, mentoring and transition planning, alongside the use of evidence-based content for behavioural change.
Each week you will be provided with an activity manual which you will work through with the children. You will be given this prior to the club start so that you have enough time to read through it and familiarise yourself with each step of the craft activity.
Facilitators are responsible for delivering our training for volunteers as well as our workshops and courses for parents and young people. We run training sessions and courses in London in the evenings and at weekends.

You, along with another adult, will be in charge of leading our arts & crafts after school clubs at a local primary school in Hounslow. (The exact location will be disclosed once placements are confirmed).
The IntoUniversity Mentoring Scheme pairs university student mentors with young people aged 10-17 from some of London’s most disadvantaged areas. Mentoring pairs meet one hour long meetings, working towards one target in the areas of academic attainment, social skills or future planning.
