Volunteers will work on a one-to-one basis with older people, helping them learn how to use smartphones, tablets and laptops, and use the internet safely and sensibly.
Our volunteer tutors who work directly with children generally have no teaching background. We also have "Mentors" - volunteers with experience as primary school teachers who train and support these volunteers so that they can understand the children's needs and help them acquire skills, confidence, and a sense of achievement in maths. Your role will be to drive the development of support material and processes which the Mentors and In-School Volunteers can use to maximise the effectiveness of the work we do with children.
