Family Community Fundraiser

We really want to encourage children and young people to participate in volunteering. As a family you are welcome to bring your children with you when you visit shops to replace the collecting tins. From age 7 children will be registered as volunteers on our database and we will count their volunteer hours. Certificates will be awarded for 10, 25 and 50 hours of volunteering. You will be responsible for your children at all times when you are volunteering and you must volunteer together as a family. Children can only volunteer independently when they are 16 years old.

Compassionate Neighbours is free, community-led support for people nearing the end of life through age or illness, or who are lonely or socially isolated.
People living with serious, long-term or terminal illness often struggle with loneliness and could do with extra support. Compassionate Neighbours can really make a difference. They are a network of trained volunteers who are willing to offer their time, companionship and support to people living in their community. As a family you will support someone locally to you. We are looking for families with children aged 7 and upwards who want to make a real commitment to supporting a person in their local community.
