What will I be doing?

  • To greet, assist and serve customers. Providing a service of the highest standard, as well as being polite and courteous.
  • To assist with processing stock, including sorting, steaming, pricing, hanging of donated items and the effective display of items presented for sale.
  • General tidying up of the shop to ensure a great customer experience.
  • To be involved with the till operation and the handling of cash.

What impact will this have?

  • Haven House Children's Hospice believes that no family should have to face alone the difficulties of looking after a child with a life -limiting condition. We provide a range of services to the child and their families to support them through the most difficult circumstances imaginable. We offer planned respite, short break and end -of -life care, as well as services designed to improve emotional and physical wellbeing, across The White House, our Holistic Care Centre and in our local community.
  • Since opening we have cared for hundreds of children and families across North and North East London, West Essex and East Hertfordshire. Working in partnership, we deliver these services whenever and wherever our families need them.
  • You will be helping raise awareness of the charity to members of the public. This helps us to raise more funds and recruit more volunteers to support us.
  • You will be helping the hospice to reach their fundraising target of 4.4 million , only 19% of this funded by government sources. By helping us to reach this target we will be able to keep our services running.
