What will I be doing?

  • Provide general assistance to our national virtual Support Centre:.
  • - Make notes on call log sheet and report form when receiving calls and emails.
  • - Be able to respond in caring manner, particularly talking with elderly or potential victims or witnesses who report hate incidents / crime.
  • - Redirect clients to relevant organisation for specific problems.
  • - Keep Centre Manager informed of any serious/ high level cases in a timely manner.
  • - Provide English-Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) interpretation.

Commitment

  • Working from home.
  • Flexible working hours, 2 shifts per week for 2+ months.

Expenses

  • All volunteers will pre-agree with their line managers to have their travel and other expenses on behalf of UKFCP reimbursed.
