Organisation aims / mission / values

  • To provide free, life-changing performance and progression opportunities to young musicians
  • To give access to musical experiences for all young people regardless of background
  • To nurture the next generation of musical talent

How we deliver these aims

Music for Youth works with tens of thousands of young people across the UK every year. We put on a range of different events both at Regional, local, and at a National UK-wide level. The culmination of our year of events is the Music for Youth Proms held at the Royal Albert Hall every November. Showcasing performers from all our different strands of work across the year, the Music for Youth Proms is a celebration of the brightest and most exciting young musical talent that the UK has to offer.

Who benefits from our work

Around 40,000 young musicians annually between the age of 4 – 21.
