How we deliver these aims

HACA strives to achieve its aims by providing a wide range of services and opportunities for all members of the community; from After Schools Club and Holiday Play Schemes, and Under fives Toy Library and Stay & Plays, to facilitating meeting space and activities for cultural, religious and community groups with specific needs. Opportunities for these groups to come together and contribute were recently celebrated at our summer fair in July and also the Great Get Together in June. The organisation is responsive to needs and our programme is ever changing; recently we facilitated Free Immigration Advice sessions with a local solicitors and were overwhelmed with the variety and volume of enquiries that came forward. This extended from a 8 week programme to 6 months. An Arts and Crafts group, and an over fifties social group have recently been established and participants now actively facilitating those sessions.

Who benefits from our work

Our beneficiaries are all members of the diverse community in the St Georges Ward of Islington and surrounding areas. Our childrens services provide much needed care, support and information to local families and children, as well as engaging activities to broaden experience. Our centre provides affordable space for meetings, parties and other recreational gatherings But most importantly we aim to provide for those who may be isolated and in need of social space and information to improve their well being, by offering relevant and accessible activities and services to meet their needs
