What will I be doing?

  • Our Feel Good Stroll, is a free short walk to help you get active and stay active at a pace that works for you. It's a great way to stretch your legs, explore what's on your doorstep, and make new friends. It's open to all ages and abilities with a focus on those wanting to begin walking more.
  • You will get to lead a small group on a local walk for approx an hour. The start point will be from South Chingford Community Library and the route can be decided by you.
  • Training will be provided on how to lead a walking group, this will be a day workshop held in March 2020, hosted by Walking for Health www.walkingforhealth.org.uk/walkfinder

What impact will this have?

  • Walking provides a great way to get out and about, meet new people and explore some of the beautiful green spaces local to you.
  • From reducing stress, getting more exercise, to sharing laughs, we hope that the Feel Good Stroll will have something for everyone.
  • Volunteering as a leader will provide an opportunity to bring people together and help form new friendships.

Commitment

  • The Feel Good Strolls will take place every Monday, 11am to 12pm.
  • We are looking for a commitment to lead the walk one Monday per month.

Expenses

  • We will reimburse travel expenses.

Training
