What will I be doing?

  • Support the cooking club leader with the set up, delivery and      tidying away of the session
  • Assist the primary school children with participating in the              session 
  • Assist the children with the safe preparation of meals.

  • Supporting the teacher give a children a lesson in healthy eating and meals.
  • Support the community of Islington by volunteering at a small youth organisation.
  • Assist in teaching children the importance of fresh ingredients and healthy eating.

Commitment

  • Monday afternoons during term time between 3-5pm.

What else do I need to know?

  • You will need to have previous experience of working with children, ideally be enthusiastic about cooking and be based locally in Islington.

Training

  • If successful at the interview there will be a trial shift.
  • The cooking club teacher and youth workers will guide you through your duties.
  • You will report to the cooking club leader during sessions and we will provide ongoing support to answer questions and offer assistance as required.
