Age: Volunteers should be 16 years old and above+

What will I be doing?

  • Business Development: create and maintain relationships with partner organisations, engage businesses and support networks who are involved in apprenticeshihp schemes, build lasting business connections.
  • Marketing and Communications: create digital marketing and publicity content. You will work with our team to create digital marketing and publicity content for our social media platforms, including video, photographs, text and gifs. You will also liase with press.
  • Teamwork: work with our team to help develop our business and marketing strategy. Get creative and get experience pitching ideas to our small team.
  • Logistics and Event Management: you will help our team schedule and plan all aspects of this unique annual event in London, gaining experience in time management and task sharing.

What impact will this have?

  • Help create a space for young people to make connections, recieve advice, and explore new opportunities at least once a year, regardlesss of the class or background they come from.
  • Help businesses recruit skilled individuals who can support their aims and objectives, mutually benefiting both the businesses and the apprentices.
  • You will improve the lives of young people by engaging them in their future careers, offering opportunities they might not come across without your input.

Commitment

  • Volunteers must commit to 1 morning or afternoon per week minimum.
  • This is an ongoing role, the event will take place in October 2019.

Training

  • You will work closely with our expert team of journalists, marketing team and business developement officers. Training will be onging with input from corporate volunteers and the resident team.
  • We will provide wrap-around advice and guidance where you need it. Not too much - we want you to get your creative juices flowing and run with your own ideas!
  • We will provide online training if you decide you'd like to further develop a particular facet of your work to take away from the role.
