How we deliver these aims

Volunteers play a vital role within Essex Country Parks by helping us in maintaining, managing and restoring valuable sites and habitats across the county. Volunteering is also a crucial part of public involvement and engagement. Essex County Council is committed to ensuring that the local community is fully involved in influencing decision-making regarding its services, and prioritises engaging local volunteers.

Who benefits from our work

The local community and wildlife benefit from the work we carry out at Belhus Woods Country Park. There are also a number of benefits to our volunteers: Gain countryside experience and skills, learn about your local area and the wildlife in country parks, meet new people, have fun and keep fit.
