What will I be doing?

  • Adults over the age of 18 years to help organise and run Beaver Scout activities for children aged 6 to 8 years old in our long established Scout Group in Queensbury, NW London. Full free training and on the job support is given so You will not be 'dropped in at the deep end'.
  • The organising and running of our Beaver Scout activities for children.
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed adult over the age of 18 years to take over the organising and running of our Beaver Scout activities for children aged 6 to 8 years old in our Scout Group in Queensbury, NW London (HA8 6DW) on Thursday evenings from 6:15 to 7:30 pm.
  • Volunteers for this role will at first be working under the guidance of our Acting Beaver Scout Leader to help give our Beavers an enjoyable and adventurous time whilst carrying out the Scout Associations Beaver Scout Training programme.

Here at The 1st/6th Edgware, we provide Scouting to young people in and around the Edgware, Stanmore and Queensbury areas of Middlesex.

Commitment

  • Thursday evenings from 6:15 to 7:30 pm

What else do I need to know?

  • Due to the age of the Beavers volunteers must be able to arrive before the Beaver Meeting start time of 6:15 pm on Thursday evenings and also to take part in occasional weekend Beaver & Scout Group activities.

Expenses

  • No travel expenses, but all costs of training, uniform, activities etc. are covered by the group.

  • A DBS check is required
