What will I be doing?
- Help to prepare Grand Junction spaces ahead of Art Party and family shows including arranging tables and furniture, setting-up arts materials and resources.
- Greet children and parents, and offer a warm welcome to Grand Junction and help the to complete the registration form.
- Assist facilitators to deliver dynamic and engaging activities, and help to foster a friendly, fun and supportive environment.
- Collect feedback and evaluation forms from children and parents.
- Help to promote future Art Parties and family events at Grand Junction by handing out leaflets.
- Help to tidy after the session, including washing up, sweeping, tidying away equipment, moving furniture, and cleaning.

- Creating an enjoyable and safe space for families to explore new arts, heritage and cultural activities.
- Assisting facilitators to create engaging and dynamic sessions.
- Making local people from all faiths, backgrounds and beliefs feel welcome in our community venue.

Commitment
- Art Party takes place at Grand Junction on the third Saturday of each month, from 10am-12pm. Volunteers are required to be available from 9am-12:30pm. We also have family theatre shows on Saturdays and in school holidays every couple of months, times vary.
- Upcoming dates. Saturday 24th September 9:30 – 12:30 – Art Party - Family drop in. Saturday 22nd October 9:30 – 12:30 – Art Party - Family drop in. Friday 28th October 10:00 - 14:00 - Norwich Puppet Theatre Presents - Thumbelina. Saturday 19th November 9:30 – 12:30 – Art Party - Family drop in.
What else do I need to know?
- Volunteers must be prepared to undertake pre-offer checks, references, and a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).
