What will I be doing?

  • Help facilitate art sessions
  • Acquire knowledge relating to the life and works of Heath Robinson and/or painting and drawing techniques as appropriate to the session
  • Set up and clear tables, chairs and other equipment for sessions and activities
  • Use and maintain educational resources and equipment appropriately, ensuring that they are returned to their proper storage place

Commitment

  • The club runs weekly on Wednesdays after school, 4:30-6:30pm in term-time, with the idea
    that at least 2 members of the team would be present at each session. This would mean
    that each member would be expected to do a minimum of 3 sessions per half term (18
    sessions per year).

What else do I need to know?

  • We are a friendly active volunteer team and there is plenty of opportunity to meet people and be involved in the events.
  • Like all our volunteers, you will get a 10% discount in our shop, 10% off event
    tickets when purchased at the till & free entry to museum exhibitions.

Expenses

  • We can reimburse public transport travel costs to/from the museum up to £5 per day.

Training

  • Induction training provided.
  • Knowledge of Heath Robinson is not required although You will be invited to various training sessions should you so wish.
  • Training by the session leader relating to relevant art technique being studied.
