This pilot project is another opportunity for our Team London Young Ambassadors to help lead social change where they live.
Team London Young Leaders
Team London Young Leaders joins up clusters of Team London Ambassadors schools in a borough to form youth panels. These small groups of young people are given a small budget to run their own project which will benefit the local community. The goal of the Team London Young Leaders is simple: to inspire others to join the movement by leading a local campaign or event in their borough.
Initially piloted in five boroughs during the 2015-16 academic year, the programme is now active in:
Each of these boroughs will have four schools, three secondaries and one primary, putting forward five students to be Team London Young Leaders.
Each borough has one lead school that will manage the budget and coordinate meetings. As such each borough panel is made up of twenty students.
