Get Volunteering at University
If you’re a student who enjoys new experiences and making the most of opportunities, why not give volunteering a go?
It’s a great way to learn useful skills for your future and get involved in something that matters to you.
Volunteering’s a great way to meet new people, gain skills and experiences to develop your career and make a difference. It’s also fun and rewarding at the same time.
Don’t think you have the time or it’s not for you? Read some of our students’ blogs to see what they got from volunteering and what they’re up to now:
- Why I want to make volunteering a lifetime habit
- Volunteering as a student gave me the chance to see the real world
- The feel good factor of volunteering

London Student Volunteering Week 2016
London Student Volunteering Week (LSVW) was established in 2008 and is now an annual fixture in the calendar for London’s student volunteers. The event is run by a group of London universities, part of the London Student Volunteering Network, in collaboration with Team London.
The week aims to inspire students to donate their time to a cause they’re passionate about and in turn build relations with the community, gain new skills and make new friendships. It's also a fantastic time to highlight the wonderful volunteering that students do all year round.
If you wish to volunteer during LSVW2016 then click the links above or speak to the volunteer centre at the institution you study.
