Community Sports Funding: Gymnastics

The Mayor of London and British Gymnastics are working together to help community organisations run gymnastics activities in their local areas.

Inspired by London hosting the World Cup of Gymnastics in 2017 (at the O2), the Mayor invited community organisations to apply for grants of up to £2,500 to run gymnastics sessions in the build up to the big event and beyond.

Please note that the gymnastics fund is now closed for applications and projects have begun delivery.

Supporting gymnastics in your community

The World Cup of Gymnastics, hosted in London next year, showcases the best gymnastics talent from all over the world, including celebrated athletes from Great Britain and around the world.

So the Mayor is using this exciting event as a springboard - to get more people involved in gymnastics across the city.

The aim of this fund is:

  • to inspire London's community organisations to deliver gymnastics
  • to increase the number of Londoners taking part in gymnastics
  • to increase the number of community organisations that are able to provide gymnastics programmes
  • to make sure that gymnastics programmes are maintained and continue to be provided in the future
