The Mayor’s trip to India and Pakistan

Mayor Sadiq Khan travelled to India and Pakistan - building ties with business leaders and politicians, meeting cultural leaders, screen and sports stars, students and more.

He visited 6 cities in 6 days with one key message: #LondonIsOpen to talent, investment and tourism.

India

The Mayor kick-started his trip in Mumbai, meeting with government ministers and senior politicians to build stronger ties between India and London.

He continued his trip in Mumbai, then on to Delhi and Amritsar to drive new investments and initiatives:

Pakistan

The Mayor travelled to Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad, where he met with key political leaders, including Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

He also met with business leaders, while the business delegation strengthened ties between London and Pakistan.
