Police Misconduct Appeal – Ex PC Vleit McNulty

Ex PC Vleit McNulty appeal against the findings and outcome made under the Police Conduct Regulation of 2012.
Finding made under the 2012 Conduct Regulations:
- Ex PC Vleit McNulty along with five other police officers took covert photographs of individuals without their knowledge or consent and posted those images into a forum thereby enabling comments to be made about them.
- Ex PC Vleit McNulty took one image of a female colleague covertly and without her permission and posted it on the forum
Standards of Professional Behaviour breached:
The panel found that Ex PC Vleit McNulty breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in particular those paragraphs relating to:
- Discreditable Conduct - one count
- Authority, Respect and Courtesy - one count
The misconduct panel found that the breaches were severe and amount to gross misconduct.
Outcome following misconduct hearing
Ex PC Vleit McNulty was dismissed without notice
The Appeal was dismissed.
