The role of PSHE, citizenship education, SMSC and Healthy Schools London in the new Ofsted Inspection Framework September 2015

Janet Palmer HMI (National Lead for PSHE education) has prepared a summary of the implications of the new Ofsted Inspection Framework that was introduced in September 2015. The document includes the importance of personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE education), citizenship education and pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) development in helping schools obtain good overall outcomes under the Common Inspection Framework from September 2015.

  • impact on pupil outcomes
  • School Food Standards
