HSL Celebration Event 2019

Over 120 London schools attended last year’s annual celebration event in the Chamber at City Hall on Thursday 28 June to collect their Silver and Gold Awards. A total of 250 delegates from schools, London Boroughs, Education, Health and the third sector came together to celebrate the achievements of London schools in making their pupils healthier, happier and ready to learn. This June will see the annual celebration event held for the 6th time. The focus this year will be on Physical Activity and Mental Health. Speakers will include: Deputy Mayor for Education and Childcare, Joanne McCartney, Paul Lindley OBE, Chair of London's Child Obesity Taskforce, Elaine Wylie MBE, headteacher and Founder of The Daily Mile. Schools will also share their stories about how they are supporting pupils to be more active and build resilience and self esteem. Attendance is by invitation only as places are restricted.
