The Mayor set up the London Health Commission in September 2013 to look at ways to improve health and healthcare services in the capital. The commission published Better Health for London in October 2014.

In his response to the London Health Commission the Mayor sets out his vision for London's health against the commission’s ten aspirations for London and responds to the 64 recommendations. The Mayor is committed to improving health for Londoners where he has the powers and will work in partnership to oversee the plan taking forward actions on the commission’s aspirations.
