Scenarios to 2050: London Energy Plan

The London Energy Plan explores how much energy London would need in the future, where it might be needed and the different ways of supplying that energy. It is a set of interconnected data models for building demand, power, heat, decentralised energy and transport, which have been developed using the best available data and with input from a range of stakeholders.

The outputs include a range of scenarios for energy demand and supply, and can be explored using the interactive map below.

Interactive map

We have produced an interactive map which allows you to explore different scenarios for energy supply and demand across London in 2015, 2025 and 2050. If you'd like more information on the scenarios, details are available in our scenario narrative document.

Data contained in the map is based on the best available data at the time, and has been modelled, so estimates and assumptions have been used to make projections for 2025 and 2050.

We would love to hear you thoughts on the map and scenarios, please send any feedback or questions to [email protected]
