Mandeville Primary School 2019/20

A culture where every child can succeed

What problems were in your school and how did you identify them?

A high level of deprivation, poor and insecure housing and a high level of English as an additional language.

What actions did you take?

We have focused on a whole school approach which benefits all our children and supports lower attainers to improve and attain. We have a whole school offer to ensure that all our pupils receive a rich and varied educational experience. We embrace creativity and deliver engaging and exciting learning experiences, and this is supported through our creative curriculum. We track children's attainment and progress and use targeted interventions where we identify a need. We also have clear, positive and effective approach to behaviour which focusses on helping children develop effective behaviour for learning. We support this with a SEMH approach that helps children to express issues positively and give them strategies for dealing with them.

What were the outcomes?

Our results at KS2 were above national average with all progress measures positive.
