Woodland Academy Trust: Literacy for Life
Woodland Academy Trust sought to improve reading and writing levels for students at Early Years, KS1 and KS2. It aimed to do this through improving teacher’s confidence in writing, creating an innovative whole school literacy curriculum and providing teachers with new resources.
Through the project teachers reported improved confidence and knowledge in writing composition, grammar and punctuation as well as developing their effectiveness in creating writing lesson plans. Progress and attainment of pupils whose teachers were involved in the project also saw improvement.
