Southwark Schools Learning Partnership
The Southwark Schools Learning Partnership's project raised teachers' subject knowledge relating to curriculum changes.
Inspiring and Sharing Teaching Excellence
The project aimed to produce innovative learning materials and techniques to motivate students and encourage them to study subjects at a higher level by bringing together groups of teachers across schools using a peer-to-peer learning method. The project was delivered to 54 teachers in 15 schools. Findings showed an increase in teachers' confidence, with the average response from an end of project survey reporting that teachers felt "quite confident". At the end of Summer 2015 lessons were graded 1.67 on an Ofsted 1-4 scale, an increase from 2.35 in Spring 2014.
I have very much enjoyed being part of this project. I found the initial planning day inspiring and was able to take away some useful resources and ideas. Being part of the project has encouraged me to think more about how I can make my teaching more accessible and enjoyable for students.
