In the Vlogstar Challenge young people compete to produce the best vlogs on their smartphones.
Applicants can go to a free, one day training session where they'll get the skills and confidence to create powerful and compelling vlogs. The training will cover shooting, lighting, editing and sound as well as how to tell a compelling story and present on camera.
The competition and workshops are backed by the Jack Petchey Foundation and Media Trust in partnership with YouTube and the Evening Standard.
Until May 2018: One day workshops for 16-25 years olds
May-June 2018: 150 young people are taken to YouTube HQ in London for an experience day
June-July 2018: 15 finalists return to YouTube HQ for an intensive production day to learn more refined skills
July 2018: Black tie Grand final event to announce the Vlogstar Champion
