Apply to become the London Borough of Culture

A new competition for the 32 London boroughs to apply for funding to lead a game changing cultural programme.

Two winning boroughs will be named London Borough of Culture, one in 2019 and one in 2020. And up to six other boroughs will receive support to deliver bespoke cultural projects.

Application form is open

Once you've logged in you will need to set up your application, it's referred to as Project in our online form:

  1. Log into the form
  2. Go to Programmes and Projects menu and select Projects
  3. Type in your Project Title e.g. Enfield London Borough of Culture
  4. Select London Borough Culture from the Programme dropdown options
  5. Select London Borough of Culture from the project type dropdown options

Now you've set up your application, all you need to do is fill in all blocks and once you're happy, submit your application.

30 June 2017 Programme launch and competition opened
Thu 7 September  Event: LBOC and Young London: workshop to explore the value of taking a child centred approach to developing your bid and delivering your programme. Find out more here
Fri 6 October Event: Culture sector partnerships: City Hall. Bringing key cultural organisations together with borough bid leads with the aim of developing new and exciting partnerships. 
Tuesday 31 October: 1pm-4.30pm

Event: London Borough Of Culture evaluation workshop: Led by our official evaluating partner, The Audience Agency.
