Help make London greener - Apply for free trees before 5 November 2018
During the London Environment Strategy consultation last year, you made it clear that making London greener was one of your priorities. Most of you said you loved your local parks, supported the idea of making London the first National Park City and shared your ideas on how to make London greener.
City Hall listened and has been working with the Woodland Trust and The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy to give away 24,000 free trees by ballot. From today you can apply for two free trees. All you have to is enter the ballot before 5 November this year.
Community groups and schools can apply for packs of 50 trees to brighten up local green spaces or playground. There are 25,000 trees to give away, in collaboration with The Conservation Volunteers.
No garden? Why not sign up to volunteer at a big tree planting event during 1-2 December? Find out more about how you can take part or what you need to do to host your own planting event.
