Horticulture is indeed art, after all if one pops into any London Gallery they will find that most paintings will had been adored with Trees and Flowers by the artist.
Yet they walk out of any London Gallery or even museum and there are faced with a grey city, indeed they maybe a few trees but there are NO FLOWERS. If we are going to label London as a cultural city then we should make the outside a Horticulture City nice and green and colourful and flowery just as nature intended, with containers on windowsills and hanging baskets filled with blooms and greens, everywhere, particularly in the centre of Trafalgar Square. Actually, the busy concrete sight of the Southbank building seriously needs a variety of clematis even a variety of Ivy to enhance the area.
It grey and dreary most of the time outside so please can the London Mayor make some effort by contacting a garden centre to help see that London is looking blooming lovely with flowers for this year.
We need cheering up.
