The British Codes of Advertising Practice requires advertisers to ensure that their advertisements are ‘legal, decent, honest and truthful’.  Any complaints about specific claims made in advertisements may be investigated by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).  The campaign has now been referred by the ASA to the Financial Conduct Authority.

If the ASA finds against the advertiser then TfL will no longer carry the campaign on its network.
