In respect of Hi-Viz jackets there was a bulk rollout in the financial year 2016/ 2017, the total cost of this initial rollout for this product was £874,098.80 for the Winter Hi-Viz and £378,958.77 for the Summer version.

There has been no bulk roll out of patrol trousers, the Met has been working with its supplier to improve the product and in the future, the colour will change from dark blue to black in line with the National uniform standards. There is no change in the cost for this future improved product. The existing blue stock will be used before the black product comes into place.
