Since January 2018, 254 candidates have entered the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) under the External Entry Detective Pathway (often known as Direct Entry Detective Scheme) of which 53 per cent were female and 17 per cent were from a Black Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) background.

MOPAC continue to monitor the impact of the External Entry Detective Pathway and its impact on diversity.
