Unfortunately, Transport for London (TfL) does not yet have a date for when the new trains will be ready to be introduced as Bombardier has still not been able to fix the software problems that are causing the delays.

TfL is continuing to press the manufacturer, Bombardier Transportation, to do all they can to bring the new trains into service as soon as possible.

To ensure continuity of service while it continues to wait for the new trains to arrive, TfL has decided to modify three of its existing electric trains, which are used as spare trains elsewhere on the Overground network, for temporary use on the Gospel Oak to Barking Line. The first of these modified trains entered service on this line on 28 January.
