The United Kingdom Onshore Oil and Gas (UKOOG) trade body meet regularly with representatives of the various companies involved in UK onshore oil and gas activity and the NPCC. On this occasion the Counter Terrorism Policing National Operations Centre (CTPNOC) attended in order to provide advice around preventing criminality and facilitating lawful protest.  This is in line with its wider responsibility to reduce the threat of criminality and disorder resulting from terrorism, domestic extremism or strategic protest, affecting the UK or UK interests abroad.
