Supported by the Violent Crime Task Force, Police Officers in Battersea have been carrying out intelligence-led stop and searches, proactive operations and search warrants to target drug dealers and gangs, and test purchase operations to restrict sales of knives to young people. Intelligence and possible interventions have been produced by the collaborative work between the Met, local council, the Wandsworth Knife Crime Forum, residents' groups, and local schools and charities.  As well as the enforcement activities, dedicated Ward Officers and Police Community Support Officers in Battersea have been patrolling the wards and estates and holding weekly community contact sessions to meet residents and provide crime prevention advice.
