Question

A constituent has asked me to ask why it takes TfL 14 working days to process a refund? This seems a long period of time for someone to wait, especially if the refund is for a large amount such as an annual travelcard.

Transport for London (TfL) aims to provide refunds within 10 working days.

There are instances, such as complex claims or a large volume of claims arriving at once, when this is not always possible. In such instances, TfL redirects resources to try to ensure it does provide refunds within 10 working days.

In the case of your constituent's claim, TfL would be happy to examine the particular circumstances if details are forwarded to the Assembly Relations team.
