Question

Could you provide data from MOPAC or the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) to show how many knife crime offences that involve injury to a victim are related to other knife attacks, and are retaliatory attacks? Please provide a breakdown of the data detailing a) total number and b) percentage for each year from 2014 to 2017.

The MPS were unable to extract this data at a pan-London level.  To understand whether they were retaliatory attacks officers would have to go into the details fields for each of the crime reports. As such the data can't be extricated on a strategic level across London at this point.
