Following last summer's first transition from football mode to athletics mode and back again, which cost c£12million, I instructed LLDC to look at ways to reduce the cost of seat moves.

As a result, the cost of moving seats in 2018 from football mode to concert/athletics and back to football will be c£4million. To enable this to happen UK Athletics has agreed to a modified seating plan to be in place for this summer's two athletics meets in the venue.

Work is also underway to look at alternative seating options to both reduce the transition time as well as costs so that more events can be held.
