Improvements to cycle safety are delivered as part of an integrated approach to road danger reduction. Spend is therefore spread across a number of projects and funding areas and the total spend would therefore depend on which elements are included.

I have dedicated £155m in TfL's Business Plan this year to the Healthy Streets portfolio, focusing on promoting walking and cycling, improving public spaces and air quality and reducing road danger on the Transport for London Road Network and borough roads. I have also committed funding to improve cycle safety through programmes such as further 20mph limits, Cycle Superhighways and over £4m for cycle skills training. I am confident that this and the other investment in reducing road danger will allow me to fulfil my commitments to make cycling in London both safer and easier.
