To encourage potential BAME and female recruits to complete applications the MPS has run several engagement events where police officers and recruitment staff can answer questions on the role and application process.

These are targeted events aligned to specific recruitment campaigns and form part of a wider array of positive action initiatives.

Since December 2014 the following events have taken place:

Police Constable

       December 17th 2014

       January 14th and 19th 2015

       February 10th 2015

       August 4th and 12th 2015

       September 21st  2015

Direct Entry Superintendent

       February 3rd and 25th 2015

Police Now

       September 28th 2015

       October 1st, 2nd, 5th, 9th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 26th 2015

[Police Now subsequently became an independent charity responsible for its own outreach programmes]

Direct Entry Detective Constable

       June 15th, 20th, 22nd and 28th 2017

Unfortunately the MPS records do not show the locations of these past events.
