The number of homeless individuals in my constituency of Lambeth was 526 last year and in Southwark the number was 863 - according to the Department for Communities and Local Government. There is a rise in rough sleeping across my constituency.

What help are you lending the boroughs to alleviate the situation and can you lobby Government for more support to combat this terrible situation?

Last October, I launched my No Nights Sleeping Rough Taskforce - bringing together boroughs, homelessness charities, and Government to focus efforts on tackling rough sleeping. Working with the Taskforce, I have recently secured £4.2m from Government - to enhance my current £8.45m a year programme of pan-London rough sleeping services.

My rough sleeping team has also supported the boroughs to secure an additional £12.5m of Government funding.

I am committed to building on these successes by lobbying Government for further support and funding.
