Answer for Tall Buildings

Answered By:
The Mayor

The definition of a Tall Buildings is as set out in the Mayor of London Order 2008:

       is more than 25m in height and falls within the Thames Policy Area

       is more than 150m in height anywhere else in the City of London

       is more than 30m in height elsewhere in London.

There have been 95 applications* involving tall buildings that I have seen since January 2017.  There have been 51 Stage 2 decisions; however 9 of these were subject to a Stage 1 decision by the previous Mayor.

Attached is a list of relevant applications including development name, borough, GLA case number, storey heights, and number of units (where applicable).  The date of Stage 1 and 2 decisions is also noted as well as the affordable housing and tenure secured on the Stage 2 decisions.  Further details can be found in my planning reports available on the GLA website.

* Since the receipt and origninal publications of this answer, it has been clarified that this figure should be 103.
