In keeping with my Responsible Procurement Policy to remove barriers to SME participation, all potential suppliers who wish to be considered as part of the Docklands Light Railway train procurement will have to submit a responsible procurement plan as part of their tender.

The contract will require the use of CompeteFor, a free service that enables UK business of all sizes to compete for contracts and maximises the opportunities available to SMEs. This is in line with similar train procurements for the Tube and Overground.
