Question

I have received numerous reports of London bus drivers failing to leave enough space when passing cyclists. Will Transport for London (TfL) provide an online tool or an app where a date, time, location and route number can be entered by members of the public, with TfL following up once a driver has been reported a number of times?

The Met Police already provides an online reporting tool to members of the public who have been involved in a collision or witnessed an offence which includes alleged incidents of London bus drivers failing to leave enough space when passing cyclists. The form can be found using the link: www.met.police.uk/roadsafelondon.

Bus operators provide safety training to bus drivers during initial basic training and as part of on-going development. Bus companies follow up complaints against their drivers and make use of CCTV to help provide appropriate guidance.
